Principles

It is important to follow and adhere to certain important components for the best-typographed work.

  • Alignment – typographical texts and works follow a proper style of alignment which is not found in those that have not been typographed. This is one major difference between those typographed and those that are not. This alignment is one essential principle in typography and it is important that all the writers follow this without a miss.
  • Hierarchy – so far we have been talking only about the fonting and formatting but typography has a lot more to offer to make your text look great. Yes, it also helps to put your text in the correct order of reading by doing some editorial jobs. Yes, this is very much important for a writer because he needs to know the proper order of reading which would make him understand the proper order of scripting his work.
  • Consistency - typography is about the consistency in the usage of font size, style, line spacing and everything else that is related to typography. This gives a professional and complete look to the write-up and above all keeps the reader engaged in the content. Any changes or miss in the formatting might disturb and confuse the reader and take him away from the crux of the write-up.
